Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 October 2026
These Terms govern your use of unlead.org and your interaction with the public features and activities of UN.LEAD.
By using this website, you agree to these Terms.
1. About UN.LEAD
UN.LEAD is an initiative operated by Unlead Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
UN.LEAD explores what leadership must become — and what we may need to leave behind — through research, surveys, conversations, commentary and engagement with leaders and emerging voices across business, academia, public life, sport and society.
You can contact Unlead Ltd at:
hello@unlead.org
2. The purpose of this website
The website provides information, ideas, research, interviews, commentary and opportunities to engage with UN.LEAD.
Content is provided for general informational, educational, research and discussion purposes.
Nothing published by UN.LEAD constitutes legal, financial, investment, medical, employment or other professional advice and should not be treated as a substitute for advice appropriate to your circumstances.
Views expressed by guests, survey participants, contributors or third-party sources are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Unlead Ltd, UN.LEAD, its founders, partners or collaborators.
3. Accuracy and editorial independence
Unlead Ltd aims to publish information responsibly and to use credible sources where factual claims or external news stories are presented.
However:
- information may change;
- third-party reporting may subsequently be corrected;
- research findings may evolve;
- contributors may express opinions with which others disagree.
We therefore do not warrant that every item published on UN.LEAD will always be complete, current or error-free.
Unlead Ltd may correct, update, remove or contextualise material where appropriate.
The inclusion of a person, organisation, institution, news source or external link on UN.LEAD does not constitute an endorsement.
4. UN.LEAD Global Survey and research participation
Participation in an UN.LEAD survey or research activity is voluntary unless separate terms expressly state otherwise.
By submitting a response, you confirm that:
- the information you provide is, to the best of your knowledge, genuine;
- you are entitled to provide it; and
- you will not knowingly submit unlawful, defamatory or misleading material.
Survey responses may be analysed and used to create:
- research reports;
- articles;
- presentations;
- statistics;
- aggregated datasets;
- educational materials;
- events and discussions; and
- other UN.LEAD research outputs.
Such use will be subject to the UN.LEAD Privacy Notice and any additional information presented when you participate.
We normally intend to use survey responses in aggregated or anonymised form.
We will not identify you as the author of a particular survey quotation or response without an appropriate basis to do so.
Submitting a survey response does not give you ownership of, editorial control over or a right to approve research outputs derived from aggregated or anonymised findings.
5. Conversations, interviews and recordings
An invitation to appear in an UN.LEAD conversation does not by itself create an obligation on either Unlead Ltd or the invited individual to proceed.
Recorded interviews, podcasts, videos and other contributor content may be subject to separate:
- participation agreements;
- consent arrangements;
- recording releases; or
- contributor terms.
Where separate terms are agreed, those terms will take precedence over these general Terms to the extent of any inconsistency.
Subject to any specific agreement with the contributor, Unlead Ltd may edit recorded conversations for:
- length;
- clarity;
- format;
- accessibility;
- promotional excerpts; and
- distribution.
We will seek to preserve the substance and reasonable context of a contributor's remarks.
6. Nominations and submissions
If you nominate another person, contact us, submit an idea or otherwise provide material through the website, you confirm that you have the right to provide that material.
You must not knowingly submit material that:
- infringes another person's privacy;
- infringes intellectual-property rights;
- is defamatory;
- is unlawful;
- contains malicious code; or
- unnecessarily discloses sensitive personal information.
A nomination does not guarantee that the nominated person will be contacted, invited or featured.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, unsolicited suggestions or submissions do not create a confidential, fiduciary, employment, partnership, agency or other special relationship with Unlead Ltd.
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the following are owned by or licensed to Unlead Ltd:
- the UN.LEAD name and branding;
- website design;
- original written content;
- research reports and outputs;
- graphics;
- videos;
- audio recordings;

- other original UN.LEAD materials.
These materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may share links to publicly available UN.LEAD material and make reasonable quotations for commentary, teaching, research or discussion where permitted by law and with appropriate attribution.
Unless permitted by law or authorised by Unlead Ltd, you may not:
- reproduce substantial parts of the website;
- republish UN.LEAD material as your own;
- commercially exploit UN.LEAD content;
- modify or use UN.LEAD branding in a way that suggests endorsement;
- systematically scrape or extract website content; or
- reproduce recordings or substantial extracts for commercial purposes.
Third-party photographs, trademarks, news material, quotations and other third-party content remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Acceptable use

- use automated systems in a manner that materially disrupts the website or infringes our rights.
Unlead Ltd may restrict access, remove submissions or take other proportionate action where reasonably necessary to protect UN.LEAD, its contributors, users or third parties.

We may change, suspend, update or remove:
- website content;

11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
Subject to those limitations, the website and its content are provided for general informational, educational and research purposes without guarantees that they will be suitable for any particular decision or purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unlead Ltd will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from:
- reliance on general website content;
- third-party websites or services;
- interruption or unavailability of the website; or
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms affects legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Privacy and cookies
Personal information processed through UN.LEAD is governed by the UN.LEAD Privacy Notice.
Where the website uses non-essential cookies or similar technologies for which consent is legally required, visitors will be given an opportunity to manage those choices.

The latest version will be published on this page and will show the date of the most recent update.
Your continued use of the website after an update means that the current Terms apply to that use.
14. Governing law
These Terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from use of the UN.LEAD website are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that may apply to you.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you a right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
